The new Toyo Extensa HP II is the company's latest high-performance all-season tire aimed at budget-conscious drivers looking to improve the performance of their coupe, sedan or minivan. While the original old Extensa HP tire is a popular model for Toyo, this new generation is designed to increase overall performance, especially wet traction and braking. Toyo uses a silica-based all-season tread compound that is paired with a directional tread pattern for improved traction in both dry and wet conditions.
This new compound and tread pattern helps the Extensa HP 2 stop up to 31 feet less than the stock tire according to Toyo Canada. Added silica and full-depth multi-wave sipes around the tread improved grip and reduced the risk of hydroplaning in wet conditions. It also helps maintain traction on light snow covered pavements.
Toyo offers a wide range of sizes from 15 to 20 inches in the HP II, with speed ratings of V or W. All sizes are covered by Toyo's 45 km tread warranty.
